To meet the challenges of the dynamic market for CALM Terminals and after sales services, two independent entities fully dedicated to this business have been created. Building upon SBM’s terminals technology, the two new companies will operate independently from the rest of SBM Offshore, while functioning as 100% affiliates within the Group.
As a result clients will benefit from a more proactive partner in this area and in its role as shareholder the SBM Group will strengthen its leadership on its historical business of CALM Buoys and relevant After Sales Services. This step will facilitate the two Imodco companies in their objective to become the recognised leaders on the relevant technical and commercial innovations by providing bespoke solutions over the full lifecycle for CALM Terminals.
Bruno Chabas, CEO of SBM Offshore commented “By creating the two Imodco entities the Group ensures that our clients will benefit from a highly experienced and dedicated team as well as a wealth of terminal technology. This new approach to doing business adds value to what clients have previously enjoyed by ensuring that Imodco is highly responsive to clients’ needs as well as providing support for their operability – the key to future success.”
