Richard Demblon – Group HR Director

Richard Demblon is our new Group HR Director. He joins us from Avocet Mining, where he held the role of Head of Human Resources, based in London for the past 2 and a half years. His international career spans over 25 years, with a proven HR strategy implementation and performance delivery across eight countries in the Mining Industry and Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry. He brings to our organisation a comprehensive professional experience with a broad range of HR expertise, including strategic planning, organisational development & leadership development, change management, talent sourcing & development, HR Services and HR Business Partnering.  Richard has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Natal, South Africa.


Oliver Kassam – Group Sales & Marketing Director

Oliver joined SBM Offshore in May 2012 as Group Sales Director. His accomplished track record in the Oil & Gas Industry spans globally having worked and lived in Europe, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and most recently spending 7 years in the Asia Pacific region. Since 2004, he has held various senior positions including at Vice President and Managing Director level within Subsea 7 and its predecessor companies. From 1989 onward he held various Commercial, Business Development and Strategy positions within Halliburton / Brown & Root, PetroCosm and ABB Lummus Global. He has an Honors degree in International Business Management from the University of Brighton, England.


Saskia Kuntz, Group Strategy DirectorSaskia Kunst – Group Strategy Director

Saskia has been the Group Strategy Manager since 2008. She held executive positions in the ports and terminals industry in Asia and Europe at Hutchison Port Holdings from 1995 to 2000 and for Singapore-based PSA International through 2007 where she became country CEO. Saskia obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester.


Philippe Levy – Country Director – Brazil

Philippe was appointed Country Director for SBM in Brazil in July 2013. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of the Rio office, and has been in Brazil since 2009. Philippe joined SBM in 1995 as an IT Development Engineer, and rose to senior positions in IT, Operations, Corporate Supply Chain and Project Management. He holds an Engineering degree in Information Technology from Arts et Metiers, with a Finance and Management specialization at Centrale Paris.


160 x 168Stein Rasmussen – Managing Director – Houston

Stein Rasmussen is Managing Director of our Houston Execution Centre. He brings over 18 years of international experience in offshore facilities, and joined SBM Offshore in June 2011 as VP P&TD, Houston, moving to VP Engineering in September 2012, and Houston Managing Director in December 2013. Prior to joining SBM, Stein worked for Technip (USA) and more recently was President of Aker Solution ED&S (Houston). He holds a MS in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University, USA.


Ivan Replumaz – Managing Director – Malaysia

Ivan joined SBM Offshore as Managing Director of SBM in Malaysia in 2006. He worked for the Bouygues Group over a 24 year period in various divisions and became CEO then Chairman; in 2002 he joined Technip as CEO of the Offshore Branch. Ivan graduated from École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris.


Peter Senkbeil2Peter Senkbeil – Managing Director – Operations

Peter Senkbeil was appointed Managing Director of SBM Production Contractors in June 2013. He joined SBM from Petroplus where he held the position of Chief Refining Officer. Prior to joining Petroplus, Peter’s career included several high level roles with Exxon, and sat on the ExCom of Esso Germany. Peter is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Hannover University.


Giuseppe StaniGiuseppe Stani – Managing Director – Monaco

Giuseppe Stani was appointed Managing Director of SBM Monaco execution center in March 2013. He joined SBM Offshore from Eni. Before moving to Eni in 2008, he was in Saipem in positions from Project Manager to Manager of the leased FPSO business line. He graduated in mechanical engineering from Politecnico di Milano.


Erik van Kuijk – Group HSSE Director

Erik joined SBM offshore in January 2012 as Group Head of HSSE. His experience with previous employer Shell spans more than thirty years in Exploration & Production, major capital projects and operating units of Shell UK and SPDC Nigeria. Erik holds two Master Degrees from Delft University, the most recent one in Management of Safety, Health and Environment.


Bernard van Leggelo – Group Executive Managing Director

In 1995, Bernard joined SBM in Houston as Director of Operations, moving to Houston Managing Director in 2007, before being appointed SBM Group Executive Managing Director in December 2013. Bernard previously worked for Offshore Technology and Sparta in positions ranging from Project Manager to Director and holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Ecole Centrale and an M.S. in Ocean Engineering from the University of Connecticut.


Bernard Verwilghen – Group Secretary

Bernard has been the Group Secretary at SBM Offshore since 2010.  He has held positions as company secretary and manager legal and insurance for BP Belgium from 1988 to 1995 and for Nutreco from 1995 to 2010. He has a Master at Law from Antwerp University as well as Post Graduate degrees in International Commerce (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Business Management (Antwerp University).

Michael Wyllie joined the SBM Group in 1995 as a senior process engineer, and since then worked in various managerial positions in the Company, ranging from the Engineering department to later Chief Engineer, Proposal Director, before becoming Worldwide Director of Marketing & Sales in 2008. In his current role as Group Technology Director Mike manages the company’s technology leadership. A graduate Chemical Engineer from Herriot-Watt University in Edinburgh in 1980, and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, he has previously worked for Foster Wheeler Energy and Total.
