Wim Janse – Managing Director – Monaco
Wim was appointed Managing Director of the Monaco execution center in 2009. He joined SBM Offshore’s Schiedam office in 1983 as a Hydrodynamics Engineer, and held several posts in the Schiedam office before becoming the Managing Director there in 2000. Wim graduated from Technical University Delft with an MSc in Naval Architecture and Hydrodynamics.
Bernard van Leggelo – Managing Director – Houston
Bernard has been the Managing Director of SBM in Houston since 2007. Bernard worked for Offshore Technology and Sparta in positions ranging from Project Manager to Director and then joined SBM in 1995 as Director of Operations in Houston. His has a B.S. degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineer – Ecole Centrale and an M.S. Ocean Engineer – University of Connecticut.
Ivan Replumaz – Managing Director – Malaysia
Ivan joined SBM Offshore as Managing Director of SBM in Malaysia in 2006. He worked for the Bouygues Group over a 24 year period in various divisions and became CEO then Chairman; in 2002 he joined Technip as CEO of the Offshore Branch. Ivan graduated from École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris.
Yves Paletta – Managing Director – Schiedam
Appointed in September 2012, Yves Paletta joins us from Bredero Shaw. Before moving to Bredero in 2005, Yves was Executive VP for Veolia Water Systems Group based in Paris, following successful assignments in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to manage large Design & Build projects. He holds a Master of Business Administration from ISA-HEC School of Management in Paris and an Electrical Engineering Degree from ESIEE, Paris.
Didier Beynet – Group HR Director
Didier has been SBM’s Group HR Director since 2008. He graduated from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion, Paris in 1987, and worked for 7 years in the banking sector. He joined SBM in 1994 as a Lease Cost Accountant and rose through several senior positions to Financial Controller in 2005, holding this position for 3 years before accepting a new challenge within the Human Resources field.
Saskia Kunst – Group Strategy Director
Saskia has been the Group Strategy Manager since 2008. She held executive positions in the ports and terminals industry in Asia and Europe at Hutchison Port Holdings from 1995 to 2000 and for Singapore-based PSA International through 2007 where she became country CEO. Saskia obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester.
Erik van Kuijk – Group HSSE Director
Erik joined SBM offshore in January 2012 as Group Head of HSSE. His experience with previous employer Shell spans more than thirty years in Exploration & Production, major capital projects and operating units of Shell UK and SPDC Nigeria. Erik holds two Master Degrees from Delft University, the most recent one in Management of Safety, Health and Environment.
Bernard Verwilghen – Group Secretary
Bernard has been the Group Secretary at SBM Offshore since 2010. He has held positions as company secretary and manager legal and insurance for BP Belgium from 1988 to 1995 and for Nutreco from 1995 to 2010. He has a Master at Law from Antwerp University as well as Post Graduate degrees in International Commerce (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Business Management (Antwerp University).
Oliver Kassam – Group Sales Director
Oliver joined SBM Offshore in May 2012 as Group Sales Director. His accomplished track record in the Oil & Gas Industry spans globally having worked and lived in Europe, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and most recently spending 7 years in the Asia Pacific region. Since 2004, he has held various senior positions including at Vice President and Managing Director level within Subsea 7 and its predecessor companies. From 1989 onward he held various Commercial, Business Development and Strategy positions within Halliburton / Brown & Root, PetroCosm and ABB Lummus Global. He has an Honors degree in International Business Management from the University of Brighton, England.
